SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

Academic and Professional Excellence:

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in high school and college coursework.
  • Acceptance to a Military Service Academy or Commissioning Program: Must have been accepted to a Military Service Academy or a Commissioning Program, including NROTC College Program enrollees and Advanced Standing students.

 

Exceptional Moral Character:

  • Exhibit exceptional moral character, embodying the core values of honor, integrity, and selflessness.

 

Desire to Serve as a Military Officer:

  • Display a profound and unwavering commitment to the values and ethos of the respective military branch.
  • Showcase a clear understanding of the responsibilities and duties inherent in serving as a military officer, including leadership, mentorship, and dedication to the welfare of subordinates.

 

U.S. Citizenship:

  • Only U.S. citizens are eligible to apply for the Mission to Commission Scholarship.

Minimum Age Requirement:

  • Must be at least a senior in high school to be considered for the scholarship.

 

Physical/Medical Qualification:

  • Meet the physical and medical qualifications set by the standards of the respective military branch.

 

Passing Fitness Test:

  • Must have passed the respective branch's physical fitness test (e.g., Navy Physical Readiness Test, Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test).

 

Submission of Letters of Recommendation:

  • Each applicant is required to submit a minimum of three letters of recommendation from teachers, professors, and/or employers.

 

Official Transcript:

  • An official transcript from both high school and college, if applicable, must be submitted with the application.

 

500-Word Essay:

  • Candidates must submit a 500-word essay describing why they are deserving of the Mission to Commission Scholarship.

 

  • Demonstrated Service to the Community:
  • Applicants must demonstrate service to the community through volunteer work or other forms of community engagement.

 

Completion of Application Form:

  • All applicants must complete the official Mission to Commission Scholarship application form, providing accurate and detailed information.

 

Compliance with Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must comply with any additional requirements or requests made by the Mission to Commission Board of Directors during the application review process.

 

Interview with the Founder:

  • Applicants must participate in an interview with the Founder of Mission to Commission as part of the selection process.

 

  • Applicants are evaluated by the board based on the criteria outlined above, and final selections are made by the Founder of Mission to Commission.
